Long ago when I was a child, I had a very difficult speech impediment mixed in with some Aspergers Syndrome. Speaking made it sound like I came from some Tolkein novel. Not to mention having a high functioning form of autism didn't invite a lot of social interactions. Life teaches you lessons, what I couldn't communicate with my tongue, I could with my hands and a computer.

That started my journey into visual communications. I had all these things I wanted to say, express, participate in, but just couldn’t. Wishful thinking, but design was a way for me to shape reality with my fingertips. The world was limitless and photoshop was a magic wand. Here's something to make you laugh. It was high-school, and I photoshopped a woman I was flirting with into money, mixed it with a few dollar bills, and gave it to her as a gift. Thought I was Casanova until Professor Allen thought I was making counterfeit bills, talk about making an impression, am I right? I love to say, design is the Cirque du Soleil of marketing where you'll see your dreams and visions come alive!

When I let my work speak for me, it felt empowering! My voice was being heard, a pauper to prince, so to say. It’s so hard today to stand out from among the crowd with so much noise in the world.
